It is definitely cooler than an average fan; I love it, it is truly an amazing portable cooling device. I believe I could even use this to cool fish tanks that get too hot in today’s rising temps.
He’s been using it and I’m so happy about cause he doesn’t always like what I buy. Even more importantly the complaining’s died down! Once they stopped working, I took the batteries out and used them elsewhere — they had lots of juice left in them. The only thing I can conclude is that the motor in this thing is very poorly engineered. I would recommend this product to anyone. I think it is fairly priced for a personal fan that provides more than a breeze but an actual Cooling effect.
This handy cooler is small enough to put in my carrying case. It’s around the size of a large Starbucks coffee cup. Outside in 100 degree heat, it doesn’t make much of a dent if not right AT your face, but on a beach vacation, or at a sporting event it’s perfect to hold and keep you much cooler. Just bring the little bottle for refills!
I do outdoor camping a lot and it gets too hot in the summer at times. This has helped keep my tent cool but I would prefer it to ventilate fresh air from outside,Hospitals and Medical Facilities and this doesn’t do this very well.
I bought this fan because although I’m love the outdoors, my kids get pretty agitated by the heat. This handy cooler is a nice outdoor fan that you can bring around and constantly have a cool breeze with. If you set it down it vibrates and moves around. The cooling ability is 30 degrees maybe in a room that is 40 degrees. It’s a bit too cold now to use it, but since the last 3 months, this mini fan is fabulous I especially love using it when I am sun baking next to the pool because I want to tan but at the same time don’t want to get incredibly and uncomfortably hot. I love to also put plenty of vanilla essence perfume into the filter so that it emits a really nice smell to freshen up my room, love it! After about three months it stopped working apparently the connection to the motor wasn’t very good.luggage scales I called the USA office and asked for a replacement and in just a couple days I had one shipped out and I only had to pay for shipping.
It did not work any better than a small battery powered foam fan and cost five times as much. I live in a medium humidity area (San Francisco Bay Area) so it may work better in a low humidity location.
And the company has the gall to claim you’re getting a $50 savings”! It’s just another symptom of a society trying to get the most for the least. So obviously when I got the handy cooler as a present I assumed that it wouldn’t really bring me any relief, but it surprising impressed me. You will, no lie, get about an hour’s use out of 4 AA batteries before the machine is pooched. Worse, we hadn’t use the Handy Coolers for much more than maybe 6 or 8 hours total before both of them conked on us completely.
